the all-inclusive IM application has been found, I've tried the others, but Trillian has features that make it stand out as the best. the biggest win? its docking auto-hide. I'm able to have instant access to all my contacts just by putting my mouse on the far right side of my screen. "how do you find a contact?" you may ask - well at first it was difficult looking through all my MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, IRC, Jabber, bonjour, SchedulerVZ, VZ, AIM, Skype, Google, Facebook, twitter, Myspace, LinkedIn, annnd Foresquare contacts. But, if you click on the contact window and just start typing it searches for contacts that contain what you type, making finding a contact easy.
I wont really get into skinning Trillian because I find it to mainly be a waste of time Finding the EXACT one you want (and still being able to see everyone's messages). But there is one awesome feature for those of us who run many conversations at the same time... VERTICAL TABS!
